Top 5 things to look for in a President
President’s roles
Grace Abella-Zata, PMAP President, said in a press conference on Wednesday that any would-be president must perform each of the following roles in order to succeed:
1. Navigator.
- Able to steer the country towards a just and humane society, and knows how to get the country there.
- Has specific plans of action in solving problems like poverty, education, or corruption.
- Is decisive when faced with complex issues and hence, must be intelligent.
2. Mobilizer
- Must be good at building alliances to achieve consensus
- Must work well with Congress and Senate
3. Servant leader
- Must serve the people with a caring heart
- Must put the public interest first before vested interests
- Works hard and well to achieve the goals of government
4. Inspirational leader
- Must know how to work well with the press
- Can inspire unity, trust, and optimism among the people by being a good and moral leader
5. Guardian of national wealth and resources
- Allocates and uses the country’s resources properly
- Demonstrates strong political will, and is able to make right decisions for the common good, even if the decision is unpopular
Zata said that a candidate’s track record and political circle should also be considered since “past behavior predicts future behavior.”
“It’s like you’re making the Filipino people more educated or more enlightened in choosing better managers,” said PMAP Executive Director Gerardo Plana in a separate interview.

"I am determined to continue the fight started by my father and my mother to see
that democracy takes root and is strengthened in our country. This cannot happen
in a government that serves the interest of the powerful few. We must strengthen
the institutions of government so that they truly serve the interests of our people."

I can only envision Senator Noynoy C. Aquino, no other presidential aspirants can come any closer with all these 5 roles in 1 Person.
Am not saying Noynoy is perfect but he is the most likely to be in the forefront of all these qualities.

Like Sen Noynoy, we need to have a President who is honest, and is envisioned to rule for the poor, and the marginalized Filipino people, and uses POWER in GOD’S DIVINE POWER, REFORM & TRANSFORM ALL THE PHASES IN GOVERNMENT SYSTEMS, and knows how to PRIORITIZE in making decisions and best solutions in solving economic crisis which is the main root of all insurgencies, crimes in our BELOVED COUNTRY. We PRAY and HOPE that these COMMENTS may not be taken for granted by Sen. Noynoy. We know you will WIN. WE LOVE & BOW to your FAMILY specially to your PARENTS, Ninoy & Cory. From Poblacion, Opol, Misamis Oriental.

Good luck Leo. I think this guy keep’s changing his name. Tapos he praises pa his other names to make it look like there’s many of him. I hope he can be moderated by his email address or URL.
He he, the word moderate sounds familiar as in “MODERATE HIS GREED”. I’m sure this LoL belongs to this group!

@Lot, hindi kami mga palaboy tulad mo, may mga trabaho na kami. Nandito kami para sa bansa ng hindi na muli mamumuno ng mga katulad mong mag-isip. I pity you, isa kang nabubulok na nilalang, pananalita mo pa lang.

@LoL you’re pathetic, non-sense BS. If you can’t say anything sensible or logical then you better just shut up. At least give some intelligent comments instead of wasting time and space here.
@awie, would be better if you can elaborate about what you’ve posted. You’re making it plain and simple which is not the case at this point. Frankly, I like Noynoy but that is because there’s no other better option. I’d still prefer Mar R. to be the president. But since it is Noynoy that is running for presidency then it is now the time to show proofs that he possess such qualities. He is not his father but sad to say he is very far from his father abilities and qualities at this point. The country doesn’t need just a honest person but also a “real leader” to carry out the country out of this hell.
