Say Chiz, Noynoy is my guy

Meanwhile, Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero—a supposed contender for the 2010 elections—has also launched a book this month titled “Say Chiz (as told to Bibeth Orteza).”

The book will tackle Escudero’s personal life as well as his political career. The senator was supposed to run for president in 2010 but withdrew from the race.

Parts of the book tackle his brief but significant encounter with the late actor Fernando Poe Jr., whose 6th death anniversary is on December 14.

“Mahalagang bahagi naman si FPJ bagama’t maikli lang na naging bahagi siya ng buhay ko. (FPJ was an important part of my life even if he was only part of my life in a short span of time),” Escudero said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Escudero once served as FPJ’s spokesman during the latter’s presidential campaign in 2004.

Poe’s daughter, Mary Grace Poe Llamanzares, said she was happy that her father’s picture was included in Escudero’s book.

“It’s very entertaining to read… it’s so sentimental. This is how I remember him (FPJ) when they used to campaign together,” she said.

‘Noynoy is my guy’

At the book’s recent launch, Escudero said he would support the presidential bid of Sen. Aquino, Cory Aquino’s only son.

“It’s easy to guess whom [I will support]… When I backed out of the 2010 presidential race is out of respect to ‘Noy as a friend. It’s not for me to be competitive and to take that away from him,” Escudero said in Filipino.

Other 2010 presidential candidates are former Defense Sec. Gilberto Teodoro Jr., former president Joseph Estrada, lawyer JC de los Reyes, Sen. Richard Gordon, and environmental advocate Nicanor Perlas.

Chiz is doing a damage control. He has to do it to sustain his share in the minds of the people as a presidentiable until 2016. (He tries to come clean!)

I believe, to some extent, his credibility diminished, when he withdrew from the race reportedly because he did not get enough funding from his principals. (He made people believe that he bolted NCP because he wanted to be independent. Why only recently?, when you were with your principals since you entered politics?)

While I admire him if he indeed supports NoYnOy, I can not give him the benefit of the doubt that he backed out of the race out of respect to Noy. (Please man don’t fool us).

Chiz is realist,he know Noynoy is the man to beat,and without the support of NPC is more difficult to win against Noynoy.Chiz make the right move,when he will run in 2016 he hopes to take some Noynoy´s supporters.I hope he is active to support Noynoy`s campaign.

Noynoy will reach Malacanang via “miracle route”. You guys mark my words. Chiz endorsement of Noynoy is one of the miracles, marami pang darating thank God!

It was a miracle when Mar gave way to our Noynoy. It was also a miracle when he decided to run. It was a miracle that came upon Cory’s death that this nation was awakened and united we marched in our mourn. Ir was a miracle that all of the sudden we found ourselves united. It was also a miracle that supports and other endorsements kept on coming to Noynoy. THe Miracle Route, Noynoy will take en route to Malacanang.

There will be more miracles. Yes, there will be more. More than we can imagine. I know by our prayers, Bro. Eddie Villanueva will withdraw in favor of Noynoy. Then Erap. Then Gibo. I know you will not believe these events coming but we will see these miracles happening. Kaya nga miracles di ba? Mahirap paniwalaan but MIRACLES do happen, specially in our MOST GLORIOUS TIMES.

Bro. Eddie Villanueva will never back out in 2010 because he is running not because he wants to be president but because the people are crying out for genuine change and it is only Bro. Eddie who can really champion change because he is not a traditional politician and he is the only one representing the shadow of juan dela cruz.

A cousin of my is now residing in Las vegas. She is married to a mexican who is a Pastor of a church allied with Bro Villanueva. He said that many of their church members are not supporting him because of what he did to their church funds just to satisfy his ambition.

Lyndon, don’t worry about premature campaigning. There’s no more prohibition against premature campaigning per Supreme Court decision dated 25 November 2009 which reversed its earlier ruling dated 11 September 2009.
