Noynoy Aquino’s speech before filing for candidacy, Nov 28 2009
Transcript of the Speech of Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III Before Filing his Certificate of Candidacy
Cabildo Street, Intramuros, Manila
November 28, 2009

"I am determined to continue the fight started by my father and my mother to see
that democracy takes root and is strengthened in our country. This cannot happen
in a government that serves the interest of the powerful few. We must strengthen
the institutions of government so that they truly serve the interests of our people."

Yes, I was there when Noynoy and Mar filed their COC. At last, me and my yellow scooter are back in tract. On with Noynoy rallies, just like the good old times when rallies are so much fun.

@Regina, it was fun, I told you. That was a party! Since, I was in my scooter, I was free to stroll around nakita ko pa nga yung mga nagtatanggal ng yellow ribbons sa Roxas Blvd near BIR building at pinapalitan ng pula. Grabe sila. Well, we are living in a world where there are a lot of Ampatuans. Dapat may dugong Rajah Soliman ka. I saw Noy, Mar,Kris, everybody pero nakalapit lang me for an autho kay Shalani. Bigay din niya ako her calling card with her picture.Poor me. I will also vote for all their senatoriables and will work extra para kay Sonia Roco.

I’ll work extra hard for Sonia Roco too! Please post some pics if you have…and bakit naman kaya binigyan ka ni Shalani ng calling card?

@Regina, I told her I’m Noynoy’s other woman. Bwe-he-he. Just joking. I gave her mine, I did not expect her to hand to me hers. I think she is fine. Swerte si Noynoy natin.

I really want to be her friend. I met her long before around 3-4 years ago, when I was still with the other company, in the opening of one of our branches in SM Valenzuela. Of all the officials that came to grace the occasion, she was the most quite and reserved. I tried to cheer her up a little bit not knowing that she’s Tita Cory’s future daughter in law. Has I known it before, I would have made chika-chika with her forever. I really, really like her. I read a nasty write-up about her but I couldn’t care less. I like her better than Noynoy’s past loves. In fact if you will ask me if I will agree that Noynoy and her get married before entering Malacanang, I would gladly say yes, yes, yes….

Next target ko in Noynoy’s next rally would be Pinky and Jiggy. Pinky looks very saintly to me while Jiggy looks like Ninoy. I can feel their hearts, just like Tita Cory.
I am watching the proclamation rally of Villar. His endorser pala is Revillame and Dolphy. My son told me that it would have been better if he was endorsed by Dolphy and Panchito ( but Panchito is long gone ), Revillame is just not the good substitute.

@Lenlen, I became so emotional when I saw Mar speak. Here is the man who sacrificed his personal presidential ambition for the good of our country. Tunay at wagas ang layunin niya.
Naalala ko tuloy si Loren. What did she sacrifice when she decided to run with Villar? Obviously, the only things she sacrificed were her credibility and palabra de honor. Imagine she is now sharing political bed with the same evil man she exposed and cursed with intense fury.

Which brings me also to Edu Mansano.

@Hustisya I met Jiggy and Bam, they were really nice. Pinky too! Pinakain niya kami ng Yellow Cab nung last meeting namin. She was my prof in Econ when I was still a freshman. Mejo madaldal siya like Kris, unlike her other siblings na tahimik. I remember all of our notes and exercises are printed in pink paper. LOL.

@Regina, lucky you. You think we can still approach them even when Noynoy is already in Malacanang? Seguro not anymore because of the securities, condon sanitaire, etc. I hope it will be like Tita Cory. Tita Cory was down to earth and very approachable before, during and after she became president. Now we have access to Tita Cory and Ninoy in perpetuity because their spirit is with us forever.
But looking at Noynoy, I am sure he will follow the footsteps of his great parents.
The truth is, I am supporting Noynoy without any personal condition. All I want is good governance and reform specially in our judicial system.

All I want that all people have enough to eat at least 3 times a day, that nobody force to make crimes in order to support the daily needs of his/her family. That everybody can live a life without being afraid being intimidated, that education, health insurance for all.Its like living in paradies when all that happened. Its that possible??? or it remains a dream forever?

@Hustisya @Insay hmmm, kailan kaya tayo pwede makapag-meet up for an educational discussion? Plus all the members who can come? Kasi I really want to discuss what I’ve learned in Yo! Noy and the “miracle” of Cory’s death (actually, wala talagang relevance yung ‘miracle’ sa Yo! Noy educational discussions pero I just want to share…)

Reg, can we have an online meet for the discussions seeing that many of us are not residing in Metro Manila? I think you held one before, which I unfortunately missed for some reason. I’ll make sure not to miss the next one, and I really look forward to having the orientations started already as well as other discussions on how we shall proceed from here. Sana marami ang sasali. I think it is time that we started working as a group already. Maybe we should start defining our strategy on how we can be more effective as a group. Oo nga pala, I think Leo posted a list of things that we as volunteers have promised to do. Maybe we can also discuss those. Hays, Ginoo! But we will find a way to consolidate our efforts despite the geographical divides, won’t we?
