Rock the Vote 2010: Road Trip to Change kick off in Pampanga.

Yellow Youth Volunteers and other Yellow groups and supporters from all walks of life, from students, artists, photographers to mountaineers, etc., gathered together to show what TRUE PEOPLE POWER means.

Bringing the message of CHANGE. Yellow armies started painting the country YELLOW by giving YELLOW BALLER IDs and doing YELLOW RIBBON stickering in almost every town of Pampanga.

MANILA, Philippines – More than 10,000 people registered this afternoon at the 2.5K PiNOY fun run to support Liberal Party presidential candidate Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and his runningmate Sen. Mar Roxas.
Egay Zaragoza of the Sparks For Change said aside from the fun run, the volunteers also conducted a medical mission at the parking lot of Telus building at the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City.
“This is not a show of force but mainly show of support for the Noy-Mar tandem,” he told philstar.com.
He said the group was formed shortly after Aquino announced that he would be running in the presidential derby in September last year.
Aquino is the son of the late democracy icon and former President Corazon Aquino and ex-senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.

MANILA, Philippines – Around 10,000 supporters and volunteers of Liberal Party standard bearer Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and his runningmate Sen. Mar Roxas are expected to participate during the “Yellow Sunday” this afternoon at the People Power Monument on Edsa.

The event will start at 2 p.m. at the Araneta Center, where an on-the-street painting exhibition highlighting the theme “Araw na Dilaw, Pagbabago ang Sigaw!” will be held by members of the Artist Association of the Philippines, Saturday Group, Art Wednesday, Tuesday Group and Bahaghari ni Malolos.

“This is our way of showing our support for Noynoy and Mar,” said Buds Convocar, former president of Art Association of the Philippines.

At 4:30 pm, Aquino’s batchmates in the Ateneo de Manila University will lead PiNoy Run, a 2.5-kilometer fun run from the Araneta Center (Telus parking lot) to the People Power Monument.

The event will culminate at the monument, where artists such as Ryan Cayabyab, Mae Paner, Hale, Moonstar 88, Itchyworms, and Kamikazee will hold a free concert from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The two parties are neck-and-neck in the surveys and making the opposing party look bad may just be the key to win the elections. “Failon Ngayon” conducted a mock election using the 2.5 feet sample ballots from COMELEC and the people’s shocking reactions were captured.

On the lighter side, impersonators of Presidential candidates Manny Villar and Noynoy Aquino will also clash in the show and argue about the black propaganda they hurled against each other.

Sunday, May 2 Support LP bets Dr. Martin Bautista and Rep. Ruffy Biazon on ABS-CBN’s HARAPAN

Our very own Dr. Balikbayan, Dr. Martin BAUTISTA (#5) and fellow LP senatoriable Rep. Ruffy BIAZON (#7) , will be featured live on ABS-CBN’s show HARAPAN. Be one of the100 to 150 supporters that can join them in the studio!

Noy’s Batch is spearheading 2 events on this “ARAW NA DILAW “ day on Sunday, May 2, 2010:
1) Alay sa Kapwa – 12NN – 4PM – a medical mission put together by the Batch, in cooperation with SPARKS FOR CHANGE (the ever-so-helpful group we partnered with to conduct the various medical missions our batch has been undertaking from September 2009 till present).

2) PiNOY Run – 4PM – a 2.5K run-walk event, starting from the Araneta Center (Telus Parking Lot), and finishing off at the People Power Monument, EDSA corner White Plains Ave., at around 5-ish or so.
Registration is P100.00/pax, inclusive of a running shirt / singlet, open from 9AM – 2PM this day.

We need runners and walkers! To those who will walk, it’s just a 30-45 minute walk but if you’re with your family or friends, it’ll be a blast!

Noong madaling araw ng Setyembre 23, 1972, dumating ang mga sundalo at dinakip ang aking ama.  Kami naman ay ginising ng aming ina, at  sinabi sa amin kung ano ang nangyari.

Labing- dalawang taong gulang lamang po ako noon. Kinulong ang aming ama kahit na siya ay walang sala. At doon nagsimula ang aming kalbaryo.

Marami ang naniniwala noon na siya ang magiging susunod na Pangulo. Ngunit sa araw na iyon, bigla siyang itinuring na pangunahing kaaway ng estado bagama’t wala siyang kasalanan.

Bumaliktad ang aming mundo. Itinakwil kami ng mga taong nangako na hindi kami iiwan.

Mula sa inaasahang magandang kinabukasan, nag-umpisa ang bangungot ng martial law.

Mula grade one hanggang grade six, ako po ay nasa top ten ng aking klase. Naghahanda para sa isang magandang kinabukasan. Ngunit ng dumating ang martial law, parang naging imposible ang magkaroon ng isang kinabukasan.

Dahil doon, mahirap magsumikap na mag-aral nang mabuti para sa isang kinabukasang walang taglay na pag-asa.

Ang aming nanay ang tumayong ama at ina ng aming pamilya.

Para makapiling ang aming ama, kailangan pa naming humingi ng permiso sa mga namamahala ng martial law.
