Candidate buying (Gordon)
Villar offered money for my poll withdrawal
By Cathy C. Yamsuan, Philippine Daily Inquirer
Presidential candidate and Senator Richard Gordon claimed on Tuesday that his rival, Nacionalista Party standard bearer and Senator Manuel Villar Jr., offered to reimburse his expenses in the campaign in exchange for his backing out of the race.
Gordon said that Villar sent an emissary recently offering him money and “whatever Cabinet position” Gordon would want in exchange for his withdrawal from the 10-man presidential race and his support for the reelection bid of Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, who has sponsored the censure of Villar for conflict-of-interest in the C-5 road project.
In an interview aired over radio station dzBB, Gordon said the visit by Villar’s emissary, whom he refused to identify, was witnessed by one of his children.
Former president Joseph Estrada revealed that he, too, was offered to be reimbursed on his campaign expenses in exchange for withdrawing from the race. Estrada did not name who made the offer to him.
Gordon, a candidate of his Bagumbayan Party, is among the presidential bets lagging in the surveys.
"I am determined to continue the fight started by my father and my mother to see
that democracy takes root and is strengthened in our country. This cannot happen
in a government that serves the interest of the powerful few. We must strengthen
the institutions of government so that they truly serve the interests of our people."

I believe this story will finally lay to rest the claim (amongst the many conspiracy theories) that Gordon’s candidacy was hatched to improve Villar’s chances to Noynoy’s detriment…

Clearly, Villar is in a shopping spree. Kung sino-sino na ang binibili niya. Marami na ang nagpapatotoo. Heaven knows kung sino naman ang nasuhulan niya kaya tumahimik. Si Loren kaya ? Si Joker ? Dati critic sila ni Villar and all of the sudden naging kakampi.
He is now directly buying votes. And with P10 Billion as his ammunition, medyo nakakatakot na baka mabili niya ang Malacanang.

Well Sen. Gordon may not be there to boost Villar’s chances but more to derail Sen. Noy’s bid to become president.

Why ,gordon suporters can openly post their politcal ads on this site ? Wala ba silang sarili nilang mundo, for them to just squat from place to place?
Gordon is a guy with an attitude , he mock the woman who gave him a break in subic, he now play as if he’s going against a woman who gave him a break in the senate and gave him back the control of subic. There’s no question he can’t do the same to anyone. Kahit ayaw ko kay Villar , I may still give him the benifit of the doubt ,although personally , I incline to believe dahil sa dami na ng kaso ng panunuhol involving Villar but then , mas maniniwala ako if there is a concrete evidence like the C-5 road and COA report.

Gordon is running because he is pro-Philippines. He wants to put a stop to the steady decline of our country’s economic status and our people’s values.
Sabi nya, “There is someone who is very intelligent but who has no experience. There is a very rich man who will just recoup his campaign expenses if he wins. And there is someone who just inherited a good name.”
Pilipinas, panahon na ng pagbabago. Panahon na para bumangon tayong mga Pilipino. Panahon na para sa bagong bayan!

Hi mga ka-Noypi! Wah, ang tagal ko nang hindi nakakadalaw dito. Been busy with the ground wars.
Anyway, I think intuition is turning out to be real.
@Sherwin Integrity? Gordon? Hmmmm, do you know why JC Delos Reyes ran?
