Statement on the Recent SWS Survey Results
“Push-polling is an old ‘trapo’ technique to bring a front runner’s numbers down. The public should know that the numbers being trumpeted by our opponents do not show the real picture.
Under this November 4-8 survey commissioned by Puerto Princesa Mayor Hagedorn, their so-called improvement in ratings is actually based on a “choose three” survey question.
If we look at the more specific ”choose one” question, the survey results give Senator Aquino a 47% rating – a good 27% more than the 20% received by the second-placer.
Propaganda will never be able to hide the true sentiments of the Filipino people.

"I am determined to continue the fight started by my father and my mother to see
that democracy takes root and is strengthened in our country. This cannot happen
in a government that serves the interest of the powerful few. We must strengthen
the institutions of government so that they truly serve the interests of our people."

Mahirap talaga talunin ang PEOPLE`s POWER.

I checked the website of SWS, indeed the respondents were asked 3leaders. Here is the survey question,
[Under the present Constitution, the term of Pres. Arroyo is up to 2010 only, and there will be an election for a new President in May 2010. Who do you think are good leaders who should succeed Pres. Arroyo as President? You may give up to three names].
The same question was asked on September 2009 survey, where Noynoy was included for the first time. The September 2009 & Nov 2009 surveys had the same sample size of 1,800 respondents.
In Sept 2009, NoyNoy tops with 60% while Villar had 37%. On the other hand, the Nov 2009 survey showed a slight decrease for NoyNoy at 59%, while Villar increased to 45%.
Also,in both surveys, there is a rider question which asked the respondents to chose only ONE (not 3). In September 2009, NoyNoy leads with 51% followed by Villar with 20%, while November survey showed NoyNoy with 47% and Villar with still with 20%. The lead of Noynoy over Villar is still huge, but reduced from 31% in September to 27% in November. HOWEVER, take note, its not because Villar is gaining because despite his continued media investments he remained at 20% preference (hindi nag improve).
So, who may have gained the 4% from NoyNoy? Its Chiz foremost.
Chiz was included in both surveys. He had 8% in Sept 2009 Survey, which increased to 12% in Nov 2009 Survey.
As such, when a survey will be conducted in December 2009, Noynoy, will possibly regain the 4%. His lead may even further widen because Chiz accordingly is endorsing him.
We will win this fight. Believe !!!!
