All the way till May
By Alfred A. Yuson (The Philippine Star)
My cousin Marissa, here for her annual holidays from Dubai where she supervises a hospital, was all smiles when she approached me at the Christmas party. I was surprised to hear from her that she knew that I usually wore a yellow Noynoy wristband, which at that moment seemed absent. She expressed her desire to acquire one, said she had been all over Greenhills and other shopping centers, hoping to see a specimen that she could take back to Dubai this month. In fact she said she wanted quite a number, so she could distribute them among all the Pinay nurses, whose jubilation would be assured upon receipt of such a token gift as a Pinas souvenir.
“Bakit, kay Noynoy ba kayong lahat dun?” I asked, bemused.
“Oo, kuya,” she replied. “All the way till May.”
“Talaga, ha? Walang atrasan?”
“Wala, kuya. Si Noynoy talaga dapat ang maging presidente. Nang magsimula naman ang pagbabagao.”
"I am determined to continue the fight started by my father and my mother to see
that democracy takes root and is strengthened in our country. This cannot happen
in a government that serves the interest of the powerful few. We must strengthen
the institutions of government so that they truly serve the interests of our people."

ALL THE WAY TILL MAY! AND BEYOND!!! I hope we can also campaign for all in Noynoy’s team to give him enough breathing room in the senate and house. A helpful congress will make the change we desire for less difficult to achieve for an Aquino administration. Remember that there will be two less liberals in the senate WHEN Noy and Mar Wins.

Most of my friends abroad are now campaigning for Noynoy ,they even tried to convince me..he..he , but I always answered them as if they really have convinced me …not knowing , that even my underwear is now yellow ..he..he… , But I think it is better that way ,just to boost their ego and energy to campaign for more .

In the hospital in L.A that I am working, 75 percent of dual citizens (including me) are supporting Noynoy. Let the Tsunami more stronger and stronger every day.

‘yung mga ofw or pinoy citizen of the world here, tanungin nyo rin ‘yung mga kamag-anak nyong naiwan rito sa pinas kung yellow rin ba underwear nila. kung iba, iargue nyo na magpalit ng kulay. kung ayaw pa rin, wag nyo ng padalhan ng sustento, hayaan nyong maghunger strike hanggang maging yellow sila para sigurado tayo na hindi nainlove sa ‘vision’ ni money.

I really hope the unity for Noynoy is not as shallow as a yellow underwear but unity in a campaign with substantive issues i.e. – to address poverty, address labor and employment in the Philippines (so we dont see more and more Filipinos being forced to work abroad), address corruption…
We should take to heart Noynoy’s “Social contract” Platform document so we are ready to debate with the other candidates’ supporters….
