Clean, honest, decent, sincere government is all we need, and which only Sen. Noy can give us. Siya lang ang walang bahid, grabe. Without it, I think ang mahihirap ang pinakanahihirapan.

@kayumanggi, honest to goodness implementation of good laws i.e. AFMA, CARPER, Cheaper medicine act, etc. and proposed Social Justice Program related laws as his priority bills, curbing of corruption, liberal policies on investment and businesses, government subsidy on organic fertilizer utilization, Salary standardization. Periodic review of Minimum Wage Law. MARAMI PA PAG NAKAUPO NA SIYA.

Bakit mo naman pinag-iinitan si Noynoy? Hindi kasalanan ni Noynoy na magkaroon ng mga bayaning mga magulang at lalong hindi kasalanan ni Noynoy na ang mga magulang ng iba ay hindi masyadong dinakila ng bayan.
I have nothing against Gibo pero maraming tanong ang bayan sa kanya.
1.) He was in-charge of Disaster Preparedness Council, pero under his term hindi tayo nakapaghanda nang dumating si Ondoy. Kung ang bagyong “ONDOY” lang na iisang disaster di gaanong nahawakan ni Gibo, paano pa natin iaasa sa kanya ang lahat nang disasters for the next 6 years?
2.) Si Gibo ang Department Of National Defense noong nagkaroon ng mga bala at mabibigat na armas ang mga Ampatuan at galing sa armory ng AFP ang mga naturang armas at gamit. Siya rin ang DND secretary noong ginagawang muchaco at bahagi ng private army ni Ampatuan ang ilang miyembro ng AFP at PNP. Bakit hindi kumibo si Gibo sa mga panahong ito?

@ T ESTRELLA,hindi si Noynoy nagpresenta sa LP at mga tao na siyay kakandito,kundi ang mga tao ang humingi sa kanya.
Basahin mo ang mga balita paano naging kandidato si Noynoy.Tungkol naman sa manok mo(?) kunting kunti,lumabas ang true colors nya ngayon sa Maguindanao massacre.basahin mo ang mga balita o developments ngayon.Since yesterday wala pang say si Teodoro tungkol sa Martial law,at wala pang sinabi paano na punta ang mga guns and ammunition sa mga kamay ng warlords Ampatuan and good friends ni Arroyo.Basta basta ka bang MAKABILI o makahingi ng mga ammuniton sa military,kung wala kang connection or godfather sa itaas?Konting isip naman ang bayan natin ay nakakahiya,from corruption,to killing,poverty,without respect of laws at iba.Hindi mo kailangan ng dalawang mata para hindi mo makita ang tunay na sitwasyon ng bayan natin,talagang nakakahiya.

@ T. Estrella. May pinag mamalaki naman na magulang si Gibo di ba yun tatay niya ay naglingkod kay Marcos in 25 years as SSS ADministrator. Alama nman lahat ng cabinet ni Marcos that time are corrupted officials. Si GIBO sumanib kay GMA dahil alam niya mananalo siya sa pandaraya dahil kung hindi umalis sa NPC hindi mananalo at di maging presidential bet ng partido. Sino ngayun yun balimbing atv walang prinsipyo na sumasandal ka lang sa padina niyang si GMA.

@Allen, that’s your own opinion, you are entitled to that but for us who called and clamored for him to run, think otherwise. We opted for him to lead us not because of EMOTION but by INTUITION that he can inspire and motivate us to support and cooperate with him to attain the TRANSFORMATION CHANGE of the Philippine Society. The success and failure of a government depends upon the SUPPORT and COOPERATION of the citizenry. No amount of Galing at Talino, Sipag at Tiyaga, Honesty and Integrity can really liberate us from this decadent state if the People won’t restore their TRUST and FAITH in the government.

@allen,can you name a presidential candidates which is much better in character than Noynoy Aquino? Can you name one of them who take the risk to protect our democracy?
Can you name who among the presidentials candidates who is not hungry of power? The people push Noynoy to run for president because they believe and trust him,with him the rays of hopes glitter again.

i’m not for noynoy… we are in democracy thanks for his parents so i’ll just make it simple… i question his sincerity as well as his timing on his bid… even if he has the qualifications his outright decision to run after Madam Cory, after sensing the people’s pulse and eventually sidelining Mar… if you can follow the events leading from Madam Cory’s passing away, Kris’ and family remarks until Noy’s declaration (decision in two months)… I just think that the presidency is a noble vision that needs long-term planning…

@promdi,For me,Sincerity is a character thing,it is a virtue of a person who has a quality value of doing good things . You can never find it from someone who is Greedy or from people who has the intense desire for wealth and power . This makes Noynoy different from any other candidates and that makes him the no.1 choice today . Noynoy had always carry that virtue,in fact,when his mother was the president, he stayed so far away from the government,and he even just work in a low profile job staying away from any comfort,opportunities and benifits his mother’s position can offer which is an exact opposite of what GMA’s children are doing today .
I agree with you that a noble vision needs a long term planning at ang pinakamalaking paghahanda na dapat gawin ay Paghahanda sa sarili ,the President MUST,I repeat,MUST be morally prepared to take the task to govern our people dahil kahit ano pa ang galing at talino,kahit ano pa ang sipag at tiyaga ng isang tao ,kung ang sariling kapakanan ang priority ay haahantong lamang ito sa isang Bad governance .
Noynoy has been in politics for several years but never had been tainted with any form of corruption,he’s always been morally equipped..and that makes him different from the other ,thats makes him very much qualified to effect a good governance and that makes him the best person to be the president .

@T ESTRELLA,The Marcos ressurection is now in the making, Many of the candidates of today were the people who once live in a life of comfort and wealth in those dark times of our country . They are now the ones making the Mockery of the people who made a lot of sacrifices for this country . With the agony and hardship we experienced from the Marcos regime , I believe ,dapat kami ang magsasabi… Stop it..stop it…dahil ayaw na naming bumalik sa ganung buhay. The people who have done evils in our society are the ones you wish to be rewarded.
Gibo was a certified Marcos remnants,his mother was a KBL,his father was a friend of Marcos,he was groomed by Danding,a Marcos Crony ,He was trained by a Marcos loyalist,atty.Estelito mendoza and jointly protected the interest of a Marcos Crony,Lucio Tan and Today he works and suported a president who has been tainted with so much anomalies .
Gibo has been in the Congress for 9 years , but out of the Ten municipalites in his district ,most of it are still the 5th class municipalities and not even one municipality has been chartered or becomes a City .
In DND , even with the advent of existing laws for AFP modernization program,yet nothing has been done in his tenure to improve the AFP … ngayon lang niya nakikita ang mga bagay-bagay about AFP,about Marina security atbp , na dapat sana niyang ginawa when he was the DND chief because it is his job to do it as provided for under AFP Modernization Act .

T. Estreall, Noynoy did not use his Mothers death. It was his mother’s death that people were looking for alternatives because the one’s who expressed their desire to become president are all Panis including your Teodoro. In the beginning, Noynoy never aspire become president. It is the people who ask him, and he asked for Divine guidance first before throwing his hat unlike your Gibo na talagang ambisyoso.

I agree with Regina. Besides, if he use other people as example why not our very own mother if she is really a good model. Even the whole world look at tita Cory as an Icon and Model for Democracy and good governance ang anak pa kaya? T. Estrella, read Time magazine, go to encyclopedia, etc, Cory’s name is there as good Model.

- average academic record
- average private service record: sales at nike? a field position at hacienda luisita (his own relatives dont even trust him enough to give him an executive position?)
- can’t even help the luisita farmers
- can’t account for pork barrel
BUT….
he’s the son of ninoy and cory. SURELY he’s incorruptible and the righteousness flowing in his veins will lead us to the promise land.
if this is the type of common sense running through the heads of the electorate then we deserve this hellhole we call a country.
