Abad: Villar should face the Senate on the C5 Report

VILLAR SHOULD FACE THE SENATE ON THE C5 REPORT

“Sen. Manny Villar should be more concerned about the damage to the credibility of the Senate as an institution, rather than the strain to his relationship with his Senate colleagues, if the Senate C5 Report does not get to the floor for deliberation,” this was the response of Florencio “Butch” Abad, general campaign manager of the Aquino-Roxas campaign, to the hurt expressed by Villar to Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and Sen. Jinggoy Estrada for signing the report.

Abad added: “The position of the Liberal Party, to which Pangilinan adheres, is based on its commitment to responsible use of power, truth, transparency and accountability. The LP senators signed the report not to declare anyone guilty or play politics but mainly to ensure that the report reaches the floor of the Senate so that it can be publicly and freely debated on the floor. That should be a reasonable demand.”

“It seems that Villar and his camp are doing everything to stop the Senate from deliberating on the report. First, they attempted to undermine the then on-going Committee of the Whole hearings on the report with the premature submission of a resolution absolving Villar. Failing to do, they secretly conspired to unseat Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, author of the C5 report, but failed. Villar denied this but Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago, a Villar ally, confirmed it. Then, now, they are repeatedly absenting themselves to prevent a quorum from talking up the report. Again, Sen. Santiago confirmed this when she admitted receiving a call from the NP not to attend the sessions,” Abad further added.

Abad stressed that “the Senate only has six session days left to dispose of the report. If Villar and his Senate allies continue to absent themselves from the sessions, they only have themselves to blame if the C5 report is not acted upon. The ultimate loser will be our people who deserve the truth on the serious findings and recommendations contained in the report.”

  • What’s frustrating is what the Senate has done to this obvious expose. In the US, the FBI would have started their separate investigation. In the Philippines, I am reading that this Monday, it will boil down to some Senate vote. Where is the NBI? Where is the Ombudsman? I mean, I don’t know the process, I could only surmise like similar to what Cabral has said in her suit to Ella, Ella should have gone to NBI or Ombudsman. Does this mean that if no one from the Senate goes to NBI and Ombudsman to report the C5 anomalies nothing is going to happen? Please educate me…

  • The funny thing is some senators prefer to protect Villar than to support the report in order discussion be made and the truth will prevail.Does this senators know`s that they owe`s their job from the people who elect them and not from Villar?
If Villar is not guilty why not answer personaly the charges against him.You cant correct what is wrong if you are coward enough not to accept that you had done wrong. You cant clean the dirt in you,if you throw another dirt to your co candidates, thats primitive tactic. Villar has to tell the people why he has the honor to be the next president,to be Billionaire is not enough specially that P6.22billion belongs to the people.
Another question to whom you believe,Sen. Miriam Santiago or Villar?

  • Again another question,to whom you believe Sen.pres.Enrile or Sen.Villar? Enrile tell that Villar want to buy him about the C-5 report. Villar as usual denied it.

  • Lenlen, I rather believed Enrile now. The present problem is more getting worse because of wrong message and words used. But I would blamed Bilyar on that matter.

He must face his accuser one on one and opponents. It’s a debate you know. Because the more he speaks to the mediamen and his spokesperson, the message is not exactly coming from Bilyar.

Majority of the opinions from other people…..Face the C-5 issue in the Senate….and he can not do it, because he is too proud to admit that he is clean and innocent and he did the right things about the C-5 and Daang Hari…on his wildest brain.

That is the BIG difference also with Noynoy, his views are different from views of the righteous people, they thought they were right all along, but they were blinded with the wrong vision.

I don’t really mind it that is s Karma for Bilyar.

    Am proud of Noynoy! :)

  • What I am more concerned now is the leakage that Enrile has said in regards to the House of Representative. I don’t understand the protocol, but somehow the counting of President and Vice President ballots are in the hands of the Congress and they like to oust Enrile also, so they can put all men of Bilyar’s in both Congress and Senate.

So these early they are brewing up already in the higher plateu of chaos during the election day, which of course they will accuse and say it’s the Yellow Armies fault.

Am really sure Bilyar is so desperate that he will create a chaos during the election day which they should blamed the Yellow Armies of Noynoy’s supporter.

Perhaps he will use the same colour yellow too to associate the pseudo victims to Yellow armies.

Yellow to yellow, I hope my thoughts are wrong, but it’s becoming clearer each day about the Evilness of Bilyar.

  • Dear All, in today’s issue of PDI, Mr Niel Cruz quoted Mr Remulla that a congressional investigation found that Senator Noy is the proponent of SCTex and attended all the meetings to ensure that the project will be implemented for the benefit of his family. We know this is false but for those who will not read or undecided, this can poison their mind. I hope this will be answered point by point. Anybody with access to the media bureau of LP. Villar’s C-5 vs Noynoy’s SCtex is the title. FYI and appropriate action!

  • Exactly!… Everytime I read about C-5 issue, Villar’s camp always use SCtex (out of desperation) against NoyNoy. They’re even accusing that it is LP’s political propaganda against Villar. Definitely, as Basilio Jamisola mentioned, Villar’s camp will never cease using SCtex to demean NoyNoy. It doesn’t matter if we become like a broken record for posting the same articles, for as long as we can send a true message to the voters, especially the undecided. I know, it’s so tiresome to read the same old story, especially if the story has already been vindicated.
